    • Who is Angel Pharmacy?

      Angel Pharmacy was established by husband and wife team Dipan and Sejel Shah in the seaside Olympic town of Weymouth, Dorset in 1994 and the company has been providing a wide range of NHS pharmacy services to the Weymouth & Portland area for over 15 years. In 2009 our team of UK registered pharmacists dispensed over a quarter of a million prescription items to our customers. In 2012, by popular demand, Angel Pharmacy launched it's pharmacy website to meet the growing demands customers who prefer to order prescriptions, medicines and health products online.  Angel online services customers throughout the UK and in April 2014 they re-developed their existing website, making it easier for customers to order their medicines and pharmacy goods.

    • Is Angel Pharmacy a registered UK Pharmacy?

      Yes, we are a UK registered Pharmacy, overseen by the General Pharmaceutical Council and we are also members of the National Pharmacy Association.     • Can I put my trust in Angel Pharmacy?

      Yes, Angel Pharmacy is run and overseen by pharmacists. All medicinal product orders are checked by our pharmacy team. We have implemented operating procedures to safeguard patient health.

      Our concept is simple. Offer the highest quality health and beauty products at the lowest possible price. We ensure our prices are amongst the lowest in the UK through a direct operating model.     • Can a Private Prescription be cheaper than on the NHS?

      In some instances it can be cheaper to obtain and have dispensed a private prescription compared to an NHS prescription if you have to pay the NHS prescription charge. We aim to pass on any savings to our customers. If you have any questions, please contact us on 01305 777705
    • What type of prescriptions do you accept?

      Here at Angel Pharmacy we do supply a number of different prescription medication items for both Humans and Pets. With these items we do require the original/ physical prescription to be sent to us through the post before we can dispatch an order.

      We do accept Human prescriptions from within the UK and EU. For EU prescriptions you will need to ensure that they are fully written in English with all of the relevant requirements stated on it. Angel will only accept Pet prescriptions from within the UK.

    • Will my prescriptions be dispensed legally?

      Yes, we are a UK regulated pharmacy, with physical premises in Weymouth, Dorset. Our pharmacy services are fully compliant with the GPhC's protocols and NHS primary care trust requirements.
    • Is there a Pharmacist in charge of my prescription?

      We have a team of highly trained professional pharmacists who dispense prescription orders. All our pharmacists and pharmacies are registered with the GPhC and in addition our pharmacies are members of the National Pharmacy Association. Our pharmacists have years of prior experience having worked for well know national pharmacy chains. Overall the pharmacists have over 50 years of pharmacy experience in dispensing medication and providing patient care. We also have a team of pharmacy technicians who work alongside our pharmacists to prepare prescription requests.

    • Can I speak to the pharmacist?

      You can speak to the pharmacist in charge during office hours by calling 01305 777705. Our pharmacists are able to provide help and advice on a number of conditions in a confidential manner.

    • Is it safe to order my medicines online from Angel Pharmacy?

      Yes, our service is fully legitimate and complies with UK laws and regulations. We understand that there are a number of illegal websites which operate from outside the UK selling counterfeit unsafe lifestyle drugs that have been featured in the media. We are not in the same category as these outfits and are lobbying to close them down. Our service is fully transparent and overseen by the same UK bodies that oversee all high street pharmacies. You can be assured that you are dealing with a professional organisation and that the medication you receive is original.

    • Who is exempt from paying for NHS prescriptions?

      You can get free NHS prescriptions if any of the following criteria apply:

      • are 60 or over

      • are under 16

      • are 16-18 and in full-time education

      • are pregnant, or have had a baby in the previous 12 months and have a valid exemption certificate, see below

      • have a listed medical condition and have a valid exemption certificate,

      • have a continuing physical disability which means you cannot go out without help from another person and have a valid exemption certificate

      • hold a valid war pension exemption certificate and the prescription is for your accepted disablement

      • have been prescribed a charge exempt contraceptive

      • Income Support

      • Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance

      • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance

      • Pension Credit Guarantee Credit; or

      • you are named on, or are entitled to (use your award notice as evidence), an NHS tax credit exemption certificate

      • you are named on a valid HC2 certificate, see below.

      • You have a prescription pre-payment certificate (ppc)

    • What is an HC2 certificate?

      To apply for an HC2 certificate, you should complete form HC1 available from Jobcentre Plus offices or most NHS hospitals. Your doctor, dentist or optician may have one too. You can also get an HC1 by calling 0845 610 1112 . If you do not qualify for an HC2 certificate, you may still receive some help towards other NHS charges if you are sent an HC3 certificate.

    • What is a Prescription Prepayment Certificate (PPC)?

      If you are not entitled to free prescriptions and you think you will have to pay for more than three items in three months or 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a prescription prepayment certificate (PPC). To check the cost of a PPC you can either ring 0300 330 1341 or look in leaflet HC12 (available at GP surgeries).

      You can choose to pay for a 12-month PPC in a lump sum or by 10 monthly Direct Debit installments. If you pay by Direct Debit, you are entering into a commitment to pay all the installments.

    • How is my prescription medication delivered to me?

      Prescription medication is delivered using a "Signed For" postal service. The items will be discreetly wrapped with no indication of what is inside the package.

  • Coupons and Discount Codes

    • What is a Coupon / Discount Code?

      A promotional code which can be used with Angel Pharmacy is usually a code containing letters and numbers. This promotional code will allow the customer to discounts or money off when purchasing goods.
    • Where do I get a Coupon / Discount Code?

      The Discount codes which we have for our company, are sent through email newsletters to customers on specified occasions at managerial discretion. Therefore make sure you sign up for our Newsletters/Healthy updates.
    • How is my Coupon / Discount Code used?

      In order to use your Angel Pharmacy Discount code, simply add your item(s) to the shopping cart and click onto “Continue to check out”. You will then see a box titled "Coupon Information". Enter your Discount code here. If your Discount code is valid then the discount will be taken off your order, but if the code is invalid an error message will appear.
  • Returns Policy

    • Can I make a return for purchased goods?

      Angel Pharmacy hopes that you will be delighted with your order. However, if for any reason you are not completely satisfied then please contact us or by call our customer service line on 01305 777705. You will be required to provide your order number and maybe asked to confirm your account or delivery address details.

      Our customer service team will be more than happy to take you through the returns process and ensure your issue is dealt with promptly.

      Please note that Angel Online is unable to accept the return of any goods of a medicinal or personal nature.

    • Can I make an order cancellation?

      Consumers have the right to cancel orders placed using this website for up to 7 working days after the date on which the item(s) were ordered. This right does not apply to medicines or items of a personal nature.

      To exercise this right, you should send us a notice of cancellation in writing to Angel Pharmacy Online, 173A Abbotsbury Road, Weymouth, Dorset, DT4 0LX stating the order number or use the Comments and Feedback form on our Contact Us page. Please note that a £6 handling charge may apply for medicines and items of a personal nature if the item has already been shipped from our pharmacy; If the package has already been shipped it will be regarded as a return. Your statutory rights are not affected.

    • How long does it take for refunds?

      Your payment for goods will be refunded by Angel Pharmacy within 30 days of cancellation by the original payment method.

  • Protecting Your Information

    • Is my email address safe with you?

      When you create an Account, you will be required to provide information about yourself including your email address. We will use this information to acknowledge your order and to communicate with you if there is any issue regarding the fulfillment of your order. We will not send you any unsolicited materials if you opt out of our newsletters, which you can do from your Account. Any information we collect about you is held with the utmost care and security.     • What do you do with my details?

      Angel Pharmacy asks for these details so that we can enhance your experience of using our site, ensure patient safety, provide you with the goods and services you request from us, enable us to fulfill your order and make sure it is delivered correctly and to contact you in case there is a problem with your order. If you have agreed, we will contact you to keep you up to date on our latest products, promotional offers and events.

    • Are my credit card details safe with you?

      We use the latest strong encryption technology to ensure that all personal information is protected to the highest standard. Transactional information could include any credit or debit card details, your personal contact information, health conditions, together with any other names and addresses you provide when you place an order for delivery to another address, and your purchasing history. If you have given your consent prior to entering the details required for the ordering process, our web site will retain your Angel Pharmacy Account details such as your name, address, email address and purchasing history.     • Are cookies used on your web site?

      The ordering system uses cookies to record a unique reference on your computer. This means that we can recognise your computer when you access and log into your account with your user name and password. We will not use cookies without your prior consent so you have the option of choosing whether or not you would like our website to remember your details before you enter the delivery options section of our ordering process. The use of cookies allows us to remember the goods that you placed in your shopping bag and saves you having to enter the basic contact information that you provided us with on setting up your account.     • How do I obtain my personal information you hold?

      We do not disclose any personal information unless demanded of us by a court order.

    • I have forgotten my password, what happens now?

      If you cannot remember your password, simply click on the link "Forgot your password?". An email containing your decrypted password will be sent to the email address you originally provided when you registered.

    • How do I change my password?

      You can change your password at any time through your account settings.

  • Placing Orders Online

    • What Payment System do you use?

      Angel Pharmacy online uses Sagepay as it's payment gateway. This means that Angel online does not store any of your card details.

    • I can't seem to locate the item I am looking for?

      If you can't find the item you are looking for then give us a call!

      We are always expanding our online range so let us know what you want, and we'll give you a quote or add it permanently to our website.

    • What are the expiry dates on the products sold?

      Our aim at Angel Pharmacy is to provide our customers with the highest quality consumables. Stock is checked and replenished on a weekly basis to ensure that our aims are met. The goods usually provided have expiry dates of at least 6 months to 1 year to give the customer a suitable amount of time to use them.
    • How do I contact Customer Services?

    • Which payment methods do you accept online?

      We use Sagepay to process all our payments. We do not store any of your card information on our website. We accept all major credit and debit cards. For more information please visit the Sagepay website.

    • How do I change details on my account?

      If you are registered with Angel you can change your account details at any time.

      If you have given incorrect details on an order then please contact our customer services team as soon as possible on 01305 777705 or through our contact us page.

    • How do I track my order?

      In order to set up your Angel Pharmacy customer account and purchase goods online, you will have provided us with your email address. You will receive an order acknowledgement via this email address when your order is received. You will also receive an email when your order is dispatched.

    • What are your delivery options and Prices?

    • Where does Angel Pharmacy deliver to?

      Angel Pharmacy delivers within the UK. For further information about our delivery options visit our Delivery information section.
    • How long does delivery take?

      The vast majority of orders received within Angel Pharmacy (over 90%) are either dispatched on the same working day or following working day. Once your goods have been dispatched delivery can take between 2-5 working days depending on your delivery choice. A signature may be required on receipt. Both Private and NHS Prescription orders are sent through a courier service.

    • Do you deliver to international addresses?

      Delivery to regions outside of the UK are not possible at this time.

    • Will I have to sign for my delivery?

      All prescriptions will need a signature on delivery. If you will not be at home during office hours you can always provide us with an alternative secure delivery address where someone will be available to receive the parcel if a signature is required. 

    • Do you deliver to PO Boxes?

      Angel Pharmacy’s delivery service may require a signature on delivery, therefore we are usually unable to deliver to PO Boxes.
    • How can I check the status of my order?

      Once we have received your order, Angel Pharmacy will email you with your order number. Please quote this order number in all correspondence. You can contact our customer services team at with regard to your query. If you have an account you can also track your order in your account.

    • Product with Limited Dispensing Quantities

      Some medications that are advertised online have a maximum quantity that Angel Pharmacists are allowed to dispense (such as paracetamol, codeine conatining medicines and laxitives). Our system will not let your order more than the maximum quanity of such products.
